The Story Behind Chambeando

The Story Behind Chambeando

My name is Izzy (Isabella), and I started Chambeando Recruitment after years of working inside both agencies and in-house recruiting teams. I loved the work, but I kept noticing the same pattern: hiring decisions were being made without enough space to really understand the business behind the role.

Job descriptions were written quickly. Searches kicked off before anyone aligned on what "great" actually looked like. Candidates were asked to make big life decisions based on rushed conversations. It didn't sit right with me, because work is personal. It shapes our days, our confidence, our stability, and our families.

The name "Chambeando" comes from Spanish slang for working or hustling. I grew up moving between English and Spanish at home and at work, and that bilingual background is simply part of how I see people and culture. To me, chambeando is about rolling up your sleeves and doing the real, sometimes unglamorous work that makes good things possible.

I created Chambeando to support organizations that want to be intentional about how they hire. That means slowing down enough at the beginning to understand your values, your team dynamics, your goals, and the experience you want candidates to have. From there, we can shape searches, processes, and messaging that feel aligned with who you are — not just what's on a job posting.

How I Think About Hiring

How I Think About Hiring

Every organization and every role is different, but a few beliefs guide the way I work with clients.

Hiring starts with understanding, not job descriptions

Before writing a posting or sourcing a single candidate, we talk about where your business is right now and where you're headed. We dig into the reality of the role, your team's working style, and what success will actually look like six or twelve months in.

Employer brand and candidate experience go together

The way you communicate with candidates says more about your company than any careers page ever could. Clear expectations, thoughtful feedback, and respectful timelines are not extras — they're the foundation of a reputation that attracts the people you want to hire.

Culture matters — especially across languages and backgrounds

Many teams today work across languages, geographies, and lived experiences. My bilingual background helps me pay attention to the nuances of communication and belonging so we're not just matching skills, but also supporting a healthy, inclusive team culture.

Long-term partnerships over quick wins

I'm not interested in disappearing after a single placement. The most meaningful work happens when we build trust over time — refining your hiring process, learning from each search, and staying aligned as your team and needs evolve.

Meet Izzy

A recruiter who cares about the humans behind the hire

I'm based in Dallas, Texas, and partner with clients across the U.S. Most of my work sits at the intersection of growing teams, evolving cultures, and leaders who want a more thoughtful way to hire. Sometimes that looks like running a search from end to end; other times it means stepping in as a fractional recruiting partner to steady or rebuild what's already there.

I take a calm, honest, and collaborative approach with both clients and candidates. You can expect clear communication, realistic timelines, and someone who will tell you what she's seeing in the market — even when it's not the easiest thing to say. My goal is that everyone who touches your hiring process, whether they get the job or not, walks away feeling respected.

If you're looking for a recruiting partner who will sit with the complexity, ask thoughtful questions, and stay grounded in what's best for your team long term, we'll likely work well together.
